TLT shortlisted in Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards

The awards recognise the capabilities of law firms, lawyers and in-house lawyers in the North, Northwest, Yorkshire and the Humber. They celebrate the depth and quality of legal services in the North and acknowledge those who are setting the pace in the region.

TLT has been shortlisted for the competitive Law Firm of the Year award in recognition of the outstanding financial growth of the firm in the Northwest and for delivering some of the most progressive and impactful people-driven initiatives in the country – including a new flexible working policy. The firm was also singled out in this category for having worked on some of the most significant, complex and high-profile deals in the region.

In addition, three TLT lawyers have been nominated across several categories, showcasing the firm’s expertise in finance, real estate and TMT. The nominees are restructuring and insolvency partner Alastair Lomax and property litigation partner Matthew Forrest, both nominated for the Lawyer of the Year award in their respective categories, and tech, IP and data senior associate Grace Roddie, shortlisted for the rising star of the year award.

Graeme Orchison, partner and head of location in Manchester said: “It’s been an incredibly successful year for the TLT team in Manchester and it’s an honour to be rounding off 2022 with these four nominations in the Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards. We’ve made significant investments in our team and resources in the last twelve months, all of which continues to contribute to our success in the Northwest and enables us to deliver impactful results for our clients. Many congratulations to those nominated and to their teams singled out in these awards.”

The announcement follows news of the team in Manchester winning Law Firm of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards earlier in the year.

The shortlist and winners are determined from The Legal 500’s market-leading independent research for the annual UK solicitors guide. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony taking place on Thursday 2 March 2023.
