TLT advises Hanab on two UK acquisitions
National law firm TLT has advised Hanab – a leading Dutch company in energy, technology and connectivity infrastructure – on the acquisition of Green Frog Connect, a specialist in high-voltage grid infrastructure, and AMS Trenchless, a specialist in horizontal directional drilling.
Green Frog Connect becomes part of Hanab Energy Solutions which specialises in delivering complex electricity infrastructure projects at scale, up to 380kV, and works extensively with TenneT, the Dutch transmission operator, alongside a range of major private-sector energy users and infrastructure clients. The acquisition represents a strengthening of its UK grid infrastructure position, with the UK identified as a key long-term growth market.
AMS Trenchless becomes part of Hanab Pipelines & Utilities and adds specialist drilling capabilities and a strong position in the UK market to Hanab’s Drilling Department, creating additional opportunities for international growth.
The TLT team was led by Corporate M&A Partner Paul Keohane, with support from Nicola Bilner, Managing Associate, Greg Mazgajczyk, Senior Associate, Sam Foley and Mudassar Iqbal, Associates, Molly Cohen, trainee, tax and share incentives advice from William Ngan, Legal Director, Lucy Hedges, Senior Associate, and Chloe Jodkowski, Associate, property advice from Pete Blakemore, Legal Director and employment advice from Wendo Chimimba, Associate.
Commenting on the transactions, Paul Keohane, Corporate Partner said: “The UK electricity infrastructure market is undergoing a period of unprecedented investment - driven by transmission reinforcement, renewable energy connections, battery storage, data centres and the wider electrification of the economy.
