TLT builds in Edinburgh with pair of new hires

UK national law firm TLT has continued to strengthen its position in Edinburgh, with the appointment of corporate lawyer Adam Howie as Legal Director and financial regulatory disputes specialist Jordan Gray as Managing Associate.

 The appointments reinforce TLT's ongoing investment in Scotland and further strengthen the firm's capabilities across corporate transactions, regulatory investigations, disputes and technology-related matters.

Joining TLT's Corporate team, Adam Howie brings significant experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, investments, restructurings and general corporate matters. He joins from Dickson Minto, where he was a senior member of the firm's corporate team, leading complex transactions for corporate, private equity and founder-led clients. His recent experience includes advising on high-value M&A transactions, investments and exits across a range of sectors, with particular strengths in working with fast growth businesses, investors and management teams.

Jordan Gray joins TLT's Financial Services Regulatory team from White & Case. A regulatory and disputes lawyer with more than eight years' experience advising global technology companies and multinational clients on high-profile and sensitive matters, he has supported on complex investigations, enforcement matters and litigation. His experience spans UK and EU regulatory regimes, including financial services regulation, digital regulation, competition disputes and cross-border investigations.

The appointments continue a period of sustained growth for TLT in Scotland, following the recent appointments of Digital Partner Caroline Churchill in Edinburgh, Employment Partner Scott Milligan in Glasgow and Corporate Associate Manahil Qadir in Edinburgh. Since 2025, the firm has also promoted three lawyers to partner in Glasgow across its investment and asset management and projects, infrastructure and construction teams; expanded its Glasgow office after increasing headcount by 50 per cent; and doubled its Edinburgh office footprint by relocating to new premises in New Clarendon. Scotland was also a key contributor to the firm's strong financial results in 25/26 which saw revenue rise 11 per cent to £208 million, reflecting increasing client demand across corporate, financial services, technology and regulatory matters.
