TLT advises shareholders of packaging firm on sale to Logson Holdings.

UK law firm TLT has advised the shareholders of Riftward (Holdings) Limited, trading as Playford Packaging, on the company’s sale to Logson Group - a UK based group of packaging companies. 

Based in Wrexham, Playford Packaging is a leading independent supplier of corrugated packaging, providing bespoke packaging design, sustainable packaging solutions and nationwide delivery to customers across a range of sectors. The business has four decades of industry experience.

The acquisition will see Playford Packaging become part of Logson Group, a UK-based group of corrugated packaging businesses employing more than 1,300 people and generating annual turnover of more than £400 million. The group operates across the UK and includes businesses such as Board24, Boxes and Packaging, Cardboard Box Company, Durham Box and Challenge Packaging.

TLT advised the shareholders of Playford Packaging on all legal aspects of the transaction. The team was led by Corporate Partners Victoria Zivkovic and Mathew Harvey, with support from Legal Directors Leanne Fryer and William Ngan, Senior Associates Matthew Shephard and Greg Mazgajczyk, Associate Harry Jenkins and Managing Associate Will Birtwell.  

TLT also worked alongside Grant Thornton’s corporate finance team, comprising Stuart Davies, Kate Ingram, David Abbott and Carrie Lightfoot, who advised the shareholders of Playford Packaging.
