Senior Associate

Shaziah is a qualified solicitor and Senior Associate in the Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team.
Shaziah joined us from Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP where she spent over 7 years handling a broad range of complex commercial and financial disputes, contractual claims, subrogated recovery actions for high-profile insurers and commercial recoveries work. Shaziah has acted for major investment banks on regulatory investigations.
Shaziah has acted on a number of high-profile and sensitive matters, involving corporate crime. She has been successful in making oral submissions in the High Court defending a major Bank where the other side were seeking declaratory relief without the Bank's permission and defending a tracing exercise.
Shaziah actively works with charities and was invited to the House of Commons by Parliament and a leading charity to attend a platform discussion on gender equality.
Shaziah has volunteered at a pro bono clinic giving free legal advice to people with limited access to justice.
Shaziah read law at King’s College, London obtaining a 2:1. She was awarded a Masters in Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science specialising in Taxation Law. Shaziah completed her LPC at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice. Shaziah is fluent in 4 languages.
