Managing Associate (Barrister)

Kieran is currently the Deputy Solicitor to the Inquiry on a high-profile statutory public inquiry. He has regularly advised high-profile witnesses and Inquiry Chairs in public inquiries and on public law issues. His experience ranges from advising on the initial set-up and constitution of a public inquiry, through to disclosure, evidential hearings, the process of Maxwellisation and report writing.
Prior to joining TLT, Kieran was a barrister at the common law bar where he was regularly instructed by public bodies. In this role he advised on public law issues, acted in public inquiries and regularly handled and advised on sensitive material. Kieran also worked at the Government Legal Department where he led on preparations for a large-scale public inquiry, advising on issues such as data protection, privilege, disclosure, conflicts of interest and inquiry rules and procedure.

Experience
- Kieran is currently Deputy Solicitor to a high-profile statutory Inquiry. He regularly advises the inquiry Chair and senior management team on issues such as disclosure, hearings, procedure, investigatory strategy, costs and many other issues.
- Kieran led the TLT legal team working on the Infected Blood Inquiry for a Core Participant client. Kieran acted as project manager for a large team of lawyers and acted directly in support of the representation of several high-profile witnesses during inquiry hearings.
- Kieran also led the TLT team working for a Core Participant on the Covid Inquiry where he again acted as project manager for a large legal team. His work included the creation and management of a large-scale document review exercise in tandem to providing support for senior witnesses.
