UK law firm TLT has become Belmont’s first corporate partner, a Georgian estate on a mission to restore nature, climate and community through nature-based education, environmental conservation and shared experiences.

The partnership is part of TLT’s commitment to working with other sustainability-minded organisations to support environmental and social goals and the communities where it is based, and will allow TLT staff to learn about nature and conservation through a volunteering programme.

Based in Wraxall, North Somerset, Belmont is a nationally important nature restoration and wellbeing project. Its strategy includes a completely free nature-based education programme, providing opportunities for thousands of children of every background every year to be inspired by the natural world and benefit from its unique ability to physically, mentally and emotionally restore.

Gil Martin, estate manager at Belmont, says: “We’re delighted to welcome TLT as our first corporate partner. Their ambitious approach to sustainability and wellbeing puts them at the vanguard of their industry, and we are excited to see how we can work together to achieve our shared ambitions both locally and nationally. We have ambitious growth plans and we couldn’t achieve this without TLT’s support.

Maria Connolly, executive board member responsible for delivering TLT’s sustainability strategy, says: “Belmont is a fantastic example of how we can use the land to protect nature, tackle climate change and support people’s mental health and wellbeing. We are looking forward to working with them to design an exciting volunteering programme for our staff, and helping Belmont to continue and expand the great work they’re doing. We are also looking forward to working with them and future corporate partners to drive our various sustainability agendas forward and share best practice.
