Manisha is a contentious lawyer specialising in financial services disputes.
She acts for banks and lenders (as Claimant and Defendant), as well as advising on a wide range of asset, motor and consumer finance matters including:
- Contentious and/or complex recoveries (consumer and B2B lending)
- CCA disputes, including defending claims under section 75 and section 140 Consumer Credit Act 1974.
- Misrepresentation and breach of contract claims.
- Title disputes.
- Satisfactory quality disputes.
- Guarantor claims and defences.
- Data breach claims.
Experience
- Acting and advising on motor finance commission claims.
- Secondment to a lender as the sole legal adviser for contentious consumer matters, providing support on day-to day legal queries, regulatory compliance and FOS matters.
- Assisting and obtaining injunctive relief, including immediate delivery up orders and a freezing order following fraudulent credit applications.
