Sarah Quaynor

Sarah is a senior associate in TLT’s Technology, Intellectual Property and Data team, specialising in IP dispute resolution and technology contracts.

Sarah has particular experience in acting in complex and technical IP disputes covering a broad range of IP rights including trade mark infringement, passing off, breach of confidence and design infringement cases. She regularly litigates in the IPEC, High Court, Court of Appeal and General Court (EU), and has a strong technical knowledge of IP litigation practice and procedure.

Sarah also regularly drafts and negotiates a variety of  technology and commercial contracts, including managing multiple time sensitive projects involving UK government, city councils, universities and global commercial partners.

Jurisdiction: England & Wales

Experience

  • Acting for online retailer – easyCOSMETIC – in the High Court, successfully defending substantial allegations of trade mark infringement. The proceedings also involved a strike out application concerning the jurisdiction of an English Court to sit as an EU trade mark court post -Brexit.
  • Acting in a successful breach of confidence claim relating to a tax structure devised by well-known tax expert.
  • Representing a market leading safety solutions provider in a Patents Court registered and unregistered design right and trade mark infringement/passing off dispute.
  • Advising various household name financial services providers on a wide range of technology and partner contracts.
