TLT shortlisted for two awards at the PICCASO Privacy Awards Europe 2023
TLT’s shortlisting for Privacy Team of the Year follows the data protection team’s work at the forefront of legal developments in data protection. They advise on the full range of data protection and privacy law matters, assisting in managing not just the legal risks, but clients’ ethical and reputational challenges as well. As well as responding to changes in the data landscape after they have happened the team also consults on the development of policy before the changes happen.
Head of information and cyber security at TLT, Noha Amin, was also nominated for Best Educator for her role acting as the central point of contact within TLT with regards to information security. In addition, Noha was recognised in this category for her commitment and dedication to working with young women to educate and raise awareness about careers in tech and inspire women in tech to reach for senior positions. Noha’s nomination also acknowledges a number of her significant achievements including online voluntary work and her participation in sector events throughout the year.
The PICCASO Privacy Awards recognise the people and organisations making impactful contributions to the future of privacy and data protection, including professionals ensuring their clients meet increasingly complex privacy requirements.
Gareth Oldale, head of data privacy and cybersecurity at TLT (shortlisted for PICCASO Privacy Awards Privacy Leader of the Year last year), commented: “We’re thrilled to have been nominated for this phenomenal award. Our data privacy consulting service offers advice that goes beyond legal. By combining the consulting experience of certified privacy managers with legal expertise, we help our clients create enduring value. Over the past year, we’ve continued to grow in our core sectors, particularly in financial services and the public sector, as well as focusing on strategic growth in digital and in the sport and entertainment sector. We have seen significant successes in all these areas and this award is an excellent reflection of the team’s hard work over the past twelve months.”
Noha Amin, head of information and cybersecurity at TLT said: “I’m honoured to have been nominated for the Best Educator award. I’m passionate about my role at TLT and I’m driven by offering young women the opportunity to better understand the different pathways to break into a career in tech. I’m also determined to inspire the younger generation of women to not be afraid to be ambitious and see there is a place for women in senior positions in tech. I hope my nomination in the PICCASO awards will inspire other women working in the sector. A huge thank you to my team, who have support me throughout my career at TLT and deserve recognition for this nomination.”
