TLT continues to build data team with senior hire in London
Louisa, who joins from Hogan Lovells, specialises in data protection and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from across the financial services, retail, digital and public sectors.
At TLT, Louisa will work closely with the firm’s public sector team, providing information and advice to central and local Government clients, NHS trusts, regulators, police forces and law enforcement agencies on data privacy and protection, regulation and compliance. Louisa will also use her expertise to support clients in financial services, energy and retail.
Louisa re-joins partner Gareth Oldale, who was appointed TLT’s head of data, privacy and cybersecurity in January this year, having previously worked together at Sharpe Pritchard.
Gareth Oldale, head of data, privacy and cybersecurity at TLT, says:
“I’m delighted to welcome Louisa to our growing team. Her data protection expertise and wealth of sector experience builds further our capability and offering to clients.
“We are seeing a marked rise in matters with international elements, with businesses having to change approach in the face of Brexit and other legislative changes. Louisa’s appointment reflects the importance our clients place on us providing complex legal advice in this area.”
Louisa Williams, legal director at TLT, says:
“Data protection compliance continues to be a key concern as clients look to use personal data in more and more sophisticated and innovative ways. This calls for strategic, risk based and creative approaches to help guide clients through the evolving regulatory landscape.
“I’m excited to join TLT and look forward to working with the team to support our clients with their complex cybersecurity and data privacy challenges."
