TLT appointed to sports and arts legal services panel

The appointment reflects TLT’s deep specialism in public sector work, and its deep heritage in the leisure, food & drink sector. The firm’s clients include sports clubs, museums, theatres, art galleries, live music venues and music festivals. 

The framework – which will benefit from the support of nine law firms – is estimated to be worth £2.5m over four years and is split into three lots. TLT has been appointed to the largest of these (lot 1), valued at approximately £1.5m. 

The team, led by commercial partner Pauline Cowie, will advise on a broad range of legal services including: 

• Commercial law
• Contract law
• Constitutional structures and powers
• Employment law
• Information law (including data protection and freedom of information) 
• Insolvency law
• Intellectual property
• Litigation
• Procurement and EU regulations
• Planning law
• Property and construction law
• Property litigation
• Public law and general policy
• State aid / competition law; and 
• Tax including VAT

Sport England and UK Sport are focused on helping people and communities get more involved with sports, and organising and improving investment into Olympic and Paralympic talent. Arts Council England supports the country’s art and culture sector.
