
TLT advises FM Mattsson Group on acquisition of premier UK brassware supplier.
TLT has advised Swedish-headquartered FM Mattsson Group on its acquisition of Bristan Group Limited, one of the UK's foremost suppliers of taps, showers and bathroom accessories.
Headquartered in Tamworth, Bristan is the UK's number one supplier of taps and showers and the largest brassware supplier in the UK. The business generates annual revenues of approximately £63 million and employs around 280 people.
The acquisition represents a significant strategic investment for FM Mattsson Group, strengthening its position in the UK market and expanding its portfolio of leading bathroom and kitchen brands. The acquisition also complements FM Mattsson Group’s existing UK and Ireland business Aqualla which has a strong position in retail and consumer-led bathroom products.
TLT advised on all aspects of the transaction and the team was led from the firm's Birmingham office. The team was led by Leanne Fryer, Legal Director, supported by Jessie Cockhill, Senior Associate as well as colleagues across a number of specialist practice areas. FM Mattsson Group was also advised by a corporate finance team from DSW’s Midlands office, led by partner Harry Walker, supported by Associate Director, Daniel Choucino. Claritas also advised FM Mattsson on tax matters, with CIL providing commercial due diligence Virtus Insurance Solutions supporting on W&I insurance), and Nordea advising on debt financing. Sell-side advisers to Masco Corporation were Lincoln International (M&A) and Deloitte (vendor financial due diligence).
