TLT strengthens Real Estate offering with appointment of social housing specialist as Partner

UK national law firm TLT has appointed leading social housing finance specialist Jennie Chilton as a partner in its Real Estate team, further strengthening the firm's market-leading Housing and Regeneration practice.

Based in London, Jennie joins from Addleshaw Goddard, where she was a Partner in the firm's Social, Sustainable and Green Finance team. She brings more than 25 years' experience advising on the real estate and security aspects of social and affordable housing finance transactions, acting for lenders, institutional investors, registered providers and security trustees across the sector.  

Recognised as a leading practitioner in the social housing finance market, her practice focuses on real estate security, security charging, due diligence on acquisitions and disposals, and wider real estate advice on financing and investment transactions. She has extensive experience supporting bank lending, bond issues, private placements, refinancing arrangements and security trust structures, as well as advising on complex portfolio charging matters.  

Beyond her client work, she is also a founding member of the Property Finance Working Group, sits on the British Property Federation's Affordable Housing Committee and is an active participant in UK Finance social housing forums.

Her appointment further enhances TLT's ability to support clients operating across the affordable housing and real estate investment landscape, as the sector continues to innovate in response to growing housing demand, evolving funding models and increasing investment activity.

Jennie is the latest Real Estate Partner to join the firm following the recent arrivals of fellow Real Estate trio Andrew Batterton, Julie Simms and John Webster, as well as licensing duo Felicity Tulloch and Rebecca Lowe and commercial Real Estate Partner Fosia Solomou earlier in the year.  

She is also the sixth new Partner to join the firm in the past month, following the arrivals of Natalie Coates, David Hamilton (Financial Services), Ruth Griffin (Projects, Infrastructure and Construction), Caroline Churchill and Lorna Cropper (Digital).
