Alastair is an expert in leading teams advising on complex corporate reorganisations, debt restructurings and accelerated M&A projects. Alastair heads up TLT's Restructuring practice in Manchester and is a leading individual in his field (Legal 500 and Chambers).
He is described by clients as “a brilliant restructuring lawyer” and possessing “great technical knowledge which is combined with strong commerciality”. Alastair was named Finance Lawyer of the Year at the Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards 2023.
Alastair is an active member of TLT’s specialist Retail Sector team and has played a leading role in advising a range of businesses and their stakeholders on a number of the UK’s largest and most high-profile retail, leisure and travel industry restructurings, sales and acquisitions. Alastair also has extensive experience in advising on restructurings involving providers of residential and nursing care and related specialist care services.
