Managing Associate

Alan is a managing associate in the Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team.
He has over 10 years’ experience including four years specialising in financial services disputes. He acts regularly in litigation on behalf of major banks.
He has impressive experience in large projects, managing teams to deal with high volume portfolios of claims whilst delivering cost effective results to clients.
He has focused on the defence of retail banking claims, representing lenders in a range of financial mis-selling claims involving alleged breaches of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 or breach of FCA CONC rules arising from current and legacy lending portfolios.

Experience
- Recently played a key role in the conduct of a large portfolio of mis-selling claims raised against a major retail bank, arising from a legacy portfolio of point-of-sale loans. Alan’s commercial approach to litigation helped reduce a sizeable portfolio of claims, achieving significant cost savings for the client.
- Regularly acts for point-of-sale lenders facing breach of contract and mis-selling claims arising from third party services, acting where appropriate to recover a banking client’s costs from third parties.
