Archana’s experience includes advising corporations, departments and sovereigns on various matters of international trade and state-aid.
Archana specialises in advising clients (both businesses and governmental) on the trade and subsidy risks and solutions that apply to businesses operating in the UK and abroad.
Archana has previously advised on trade negotiations, international disputes (before the World Trade Organization) as well as trade policy formulation. Archana is experienced in advising on various aspects of trade including dispute resolution, trade remedies, standards, policy and compliance.
At her previous firm, Archana completed a secondment with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), where she advised on international treaty negotiations and the compatibility of domestic policies of the UK government with international trade law principles. She has also completed an internship with the Rules Division of the World Trade Organization, where she assisted panels on international disputes relating to anti-dumping and subsidy law.
Archana also advises clients on state-aid issues arising under the EU state-aid and the UK subsidy regime.
