Meghan advises banks, fintechs, e money institutions and payment service providers on a broad range of UK financial services regulatory issues.
She brings valuable in house insight from secondments within financial institution legal teams. Meghan also has significant experience in the digital assets sector, including advising on MLR cryptoasset registrations, compliance with the UK cryptoasset financial promotion regime and the development of the UK’s wider cryptoasset regulatory framework.

Experience
- Advising banks on their open banking obligations, including requirements around payment status information flows and compliance with the Open Banking Standard.
- Supporting firms with technical interface and API matters, including interpretation of operational and security standards and their interaction with the Payment Services Regulations 2017.
- Working with an industry body to shape policy positions in advance of secondary legislation under the Data Use and Access Act 2025, particularly in relation to smart data schemes.
- Advising e money institutions and payment service providers on their obligations under the E Money Regulations 2011 and Payment Services Regulations 2017.
- Advising on the impact of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 for clients in the financial services sector.
- Supporting clients in understanding and preparing for the “failure to prevent fraud” offence under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023.
