Sabrina spent the majority of her time in the public law litigation division at GLD. Her case practice included Judicial Review challenges on country guidance matters, policy decisions as well as unlawful detention and trafficking claims.
Sabrina’s most recent HMG position was as a Treasury Legal Adviser (TLA) in the Trade and Negotiations team. Sabrina advised UK Government clients on their obligations under the EU–UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) and World Trade Organization (WTO), subsidy control and state aid issues, the Northern Ireland Protocol, tariff related issues, public law implications, EU policies, and Judicial Reviews. Sabrina’s advisory experience enables her to provide clients with specialised advice in respect of subsidy control.

- Advised a central government department on the subsidy control risks of the rollout of a multi-million-pound grant funding pilot, which successfully launched at the end of 2023.
- Advised a local authority on the receipt of grant funding for the expansion and development of higher and further education facilities.
- Advised a local authority on the receipt of grant funding for investment in green infrastructure and grants to small green tech businesses.
- Advised a government department on the implications of the Subsidy Control Act in relation to proposed grant funding for a Charity.
- Advised an Urban Development Corporation on subsidy control implications and requirements in relation to grant agreements and works contracts options related to s106 planning requirements.
