Junior advises public and private sector clients on a wide range of data protection and privacy strategic issues.

This includes supporting on large scale GDPR compliance programmes, assisting with complex data sharing arrangements, undertaking data protection impact assessments, and assisting clients in engaging with data protection authorities on a variety of topics including in relation to large data breaches. He is CIPP/E certified.

Junior is also experienced in reviewing, negotiating and drafting commercial and technology contracts, including for public sector clients and private clients in the digital space, as well as advising on a wide range of AI matters – including EU AI Act compliance.

Experience

  • Assisted with multiple data protection compliance projects for large multinational tech and retail companies, involving gap analysis, data flows analysis, drafting and amending templates, and general compliance advice.
  • Assisted with strategic data protection advice in relation to a number of high-profile clients and public sector entities. This has included undertaking data protection impact assessments, drafting data sharing agreements, providing detailed advice on specific areas of data and privacy law with ethical and human rights implications, and reviewing complex data sharing arrangements involving large volumes of special category data.
  • Provided comprehensive data protection support to a client involved in a large scale ICO investigation, including strategic advice to the client on best approach and practice, drafting responses to the regulator’s queries, and detailed analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the client’s position.
  • Assisted with critical commercial contract projects for public and private sector clients, involving contract conformance and negotiation, advising on commercial issues and how they interact with legal requirements, and project managing aspects of the wider negotiations to support the client’s requirements.
  • Carried out a successful 6-month secondment (May 2025-October 2025) at Capita Plc, focusing on providing strategic advice to Capita on its IP and AI maturity, including reviewing and providing advice on Capita’s IP and AI documentation, processes and procedures, as well as support negotiating commercial contracts with suppliers. Junior received universally positive feedback from his time at Capita.
  • Carried out a successful 2 month secondment (November 2025-December 2025) at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), focusing on providing advice to the business on ad-hoc data protection queries and managing large scale data protection projects. Junior received universally positive feedback from his time at the FCA.
