Sophie has significant experience advising on a wide range of corporate transactions particularly within the insurance broking, IFA, professional services and asset management space.
Sophie previously worked in-house within a financial services group, where she advised on M&A activity predominantly across the insurance broking and asset management divisions, giving her valuable commercial insight into, and expanding her knowledge of, the sector. Her experience in private practice also spans advising fintechs and other technology businesses, professional services firms, sales of independent education providers, as well as acting on private equity transactions.
Sophie has acted for large national and international companies, SMEs and owner-managed businesses on general M&A transactions, investments, and group reorganisations. Her experience spans the full transaction lifecycle, from early-stage structuring and negotiations through to completion.
She is known for her collaborative approach, working closely with clients and their corporate finance advisers, accountants, and other professional advisers to ensure transactions progress efficiently and complete within anticipated timeframes.
Sophie takes the time to understand her clients’ objectives and appetite for risk, enabling her to provide clear, pragmatic advice and to help deliver a smooth and well-managed transaction process.
