- Varying an intestate estate to honour the deceased’s wishes after they passed away before their statutory will application was approved by the Court.
- Preparing and submitting double taxation relief claims to HMRC to claim a refund of IHT where the deceased held assets in other jurisdictions.
- Advising executors on UK estate administration and obtaining a UK Grant of Probate when the deceased was domiciled outside the UK, including Hungary, South Africa, Greece and the US.
- Administration of the estate of a deceased person whose estate was to be divided equally between thirty charitable residuary beneficiaries.
- Advising on the inheritance tax liability where the deceased held multiple joint assets with another person who was not a beneficiary of the estate.
- Preparation and submission of an inheritance tax account for a deceased person who was domiciled outside of the UK, but owned property in the UK.
