TLT shortlisted at the UK Pensions Awards 2024

This nomination reflects a year of significant achievements for the team and investment in innovation.

TLT’s national pensions team is a trusted adviser to FTSE companies, banks, financial services clients and a wide range of central government departments. Within the last year, working with TLT’s Corporate team, we advised XPS Pensions Group plc on the pensions aspects of its market-leading disposal of its master-trust business and new strategic partnership with SEI. The team has also advised on the completion of a number of complex risk transfer projects with leading insurers, a growth area in the pensions market.

It leads the way in legal support for self-invested personal pension schemes (SIPPs) and small self-administered schemes (SSASs). This is a highly specialist area of pensions work, led by Damien Garrould, with an annual SIPP & SSAS Winter Festival and dedicated hub.

There has also been investment in innovation through legal tech to drive efficiencies and make legal advice more accessible to clients. This includes our new Pensions Governance Hub, developed by Lizzie Stone and Katharine Swire, working closely with our FutureLaw team, that allows schemes to assess, comply and maintain compliance with the new Pensions Regulator‚Äôs General Code ‚Äì a product offering unique among our competitors which is attracting new clients.
