TLT shortlisted for top prizes at British Legal Awards
There are a number of categories in different practice areas, for both private practice an in-house legal professional.
TLT has been nominated for the prestigious law firm of the year award in recognition of TLT’s strategic vision for 2025 which is driving sustainable financial growth by increasing resources, developing the firm’s reach locally, nationally and internationally and using the latest integrated technology, whilst delivering a progressive workplace agenda with market leading sustainability.
The acknowledgment recognises the firm’s outstanding financial achievements, which saw TLT’s revenue in the last two years move from £90m to £144m, with a significant rise in operating profit in that two-year period. The nomination also took into consideration TLT’s commitments to creating a people-first culture, which saw the firm launch a new fully flexible approach to working in 2021. TLT World empowers people to choose when and where to work supported with a multimillion-pound investment in tech platforms and offices. The new approach has, in part, seen the firm deliver significant results, including improving diversity in senior roles with an increase in its female partnership to 31%.
The shortlist also recognises TLT’s ambitions to be a leader in environmental responsibility, which, in the last year, have seen the firm launch a new sustainability strategy with a sustainability team, work with Carbon Intelligence to help develop a sustainability programme with net zero targets, and support a wide range of local charities.
Partner in TLT’s employment team Sarah Skeen, has also been shortlisted for the rising star award. She was recognised in this category for developing and delivering some of the firm’s most innovative initiatives, furthering the objectives of the employment team's growing client base.
John Wood, managing partner at TLT said: “We’re incredibly proud to have been nominated for this incredibly competitive award at the British Legal Awards.
