Angus Walker

Angus is recognised as a leading adviser on Development Consent Orders for nationally significant infrastructure projects under the Planning Act 2008.

More recently he has also specialised in all legal aspects relating to biodiversity net gain, which became a mandatory requirement in 2024.

Having been a two-time board chair of the National Infrastructure Planning Association, Angus is well-placed to advise clients who are looking to obtain development consent quickly, cheaply and successfully.

Biodiversity net gain is a simple concept but its implementation can be tricky. Angus has the experience and contacts to be able to advise you whether you are a developer or a landowner looking to earn money from biodiversity units.

Angus successfully obtained for his clients the first harbour DCO, the first airport DCO and the first 'other' pipeline DCO.
