Megan Elms

Megan is a member of the Restructuring and Insolvency team at TLT.

She has a broad range of experience in relation to insolvency and restructuring. This includes advising on the enforcement of security, bringing and defending insolvency proceedings and advising on shareholder disputes. Megan also regularly advises insolvency practitioners on all issues arising from their appointments, including investigations, asset sales, and antecedent transaction claims.

Megan joined TLT as trainee in 2017 and went on to qualify with the firm. Prior to rejoining the team in 2023, Megan worked in the British Virgin Islands where her practice included general commercial litigation, with a particular focus on disputes and recovery actions concerning digital assets.

Jurisdiction: England & Wales

• Acted for UAE bank on enforcement of over USD 100m judgment debt, including the appointment of receivers.
• Advised on recovery action of misappropriated digital assets, including obtaining urgent freezing relief against persons unknown.
• Acted for Torque Brands on the acquisition of TM Lewin’s online business.
• Advised liquidators appointed over cross-border group on claims against former director.
