Neil has extensive experience, gathered over almost 35 years of practice, in all aspects of residential and commercial conveyancing, asset management, private development and landlord and tenant law, acting for UK and overseas high net worth private and corporate investors and family trusts, corporate occupier clients in the private sector and for local government and blue light organisations in the public sector.
Neil specialises in dealing with high value and complex properties and property portfolios, both commercial and residential, with particular expertise in the Central London market.
Neil leads the TLT Team for all real estate transactional and estate management work that TLT carries out for the Metropolitan Police, which includes disposals of redundant police stations and surplus staff accommodation as investment/development opportunities, with values of between circa £2M to £40million, to include negotiating and documenting forward sale claw-back provisions and sales and planning overage provisions. Estate management work includes commercial lease renewals, lease variations and surrenders and occupational and permissive licences.
On the residential side Neil deals extensively with private treaty and auction sales and acquisitions, including buy-to-let portfolio acquisitions and re-finances, property and block management, granting and advising on residential leases and tenancies, freehold enfranchisement and lease extensions.
Neil also acts for and advises lenders and financial institutions on secured lending proposals and mortgages in the private residential sector,
Neil qualified in 1990 and became a partner in 1996.

Experience
- acting on a £20M collective enfranchisement claim of a substantial block of flats in Central London;
- acting on a £29M sale of a substantial investment property in Knightsbridge for an overseas investor client;
- leading the TLT real estate team advising the London Borough of Lambeth, including multiple lease extension and freehold enfranchisement claims on flats and houses, real estate issues of capital investment in early years education centres with grant funding, investment acquisitions, Academy school conversions and development agreements for new school facilities.
