Our venture capital and high growth team supports a wide variety of funders, early stage and high growth businesses and entrepreneurs.

We act for investors, from business angels to institutional funds working on investments from seed rounds through series A, B, C and D.

We are also leading advisors to ambitious businesses, university spin-outs and entrepreneurs looking to achieve rapid growth, advising on a full range of issues including:

• investments - whether through equity, venture debt, convertible loan notes or crowd funding.
• commercial, intellectual property and IT issues and contracts.
• data protection issues and polices.
• employment and HR related matters.
• employee and other share options, and
• tax, including EIS and SEIS.

Our team is firmly embedded in the UK's start-up ecosystem and is heavily involved in the entrepreneurial scene. You'll often see us attending, sponsoring or speaking at events which showcase and support new business talent.

Experience

• Advising long-standing client Sussex Place Ventures on its investment alongside Draper Esprit in a $10m series C round investment in Endomag.
• Advising Par Equity, a Scotland-headquartered owner-managed venture capital firm, on a significant investment in Belfast-based data software company, Datactics.
• Advising Open Bionics, the pioneer of low-cost prosthetics using 3-D printing, on a significant £4.65m Series A investment.
