TLT grows banking and finance offering in Northern Ireland
UK law firm TLT has further strengthened its national banking and finance offering with the appointment of Caroline MacLaughlin, who joins from Cleaver Fulton Rankin as a partner in Belfast.
Specialising in all types of corporate finance, with particular focus on the real estate, energy and financial services sectors, Caroline’s experience further enhances TLT's UK-wide banking and finance offering and its work with major banks and other financial institutions.
At TLT, Caroline will provide strategic advice on structured finance, debt restructuring and asset backed lending to a variety of lenders, investors and corporate borrowers. She also brings a wealth of cross-border financing expertise to the firm.
Caroline’s appointment furthers the continued growth of the banking and finance team in NI, with the firm recently welcoming associate Nicola Coghlan and two newly qualified trainee solicitors to the team as part of its continued investment in the region.
Richard Houliston, banking partner at TLT, says: “Caroline’s hire is a continuation of our plan to deepen our bench of highly experienced and commercial banking and finance lawyers, in order to meet growing demand for our services across the debt spectrum in Northern Ireland.
“Caroline’s expertise and relationships will accelerate our momentum and enhance our ability to offer a partner-led service to all our finance clients in NI. I look forward to continuing to grow our banking and finance team here as we further expand across all legal service areas.
“Caroline joins at an important point, as the next four years will see us deliver major growth as one of the leading Northern Ireland law firms. We are about to celebrate a decade of business in the region, with newly developed plans to advance the business across our core sectors through strategic hires and operational investment.”
Caroline MacLaughlin, banking partner at TLT, adds: “I’m delighted to be joining TLT at a time of such ambitious growth and investment. The firm has a strong reputation in financial services and is widely praised for its innovative approach, commitment to the green sector and strategic focus. I'm really looking forward to working with the team to support and deliver for our clients and to help achieve TLT's significant ambitions in the finance sector.
“The banking and finance sector has been evolving rapidly in recent years, heavily influenced by technology. I’m excited to be joining a firm that offers an excellent platform to deliver a collaborative and progressive way of working, pushing people to challenge convention to deliver the best outcomes for clients.”
TLT has offices in Belfast, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Manchester. The firm will be celebrating its tenth year in Northern Ireland this year.
