Her clients include developers, occupiers, investors, funders, contractors, tenants, purchasers, public authorities and housing associations.
Alyson has a broad range of experience in all areas of non-contentious construction and can provide advice on all aspects of transactional construction law, including reviewing, drafting and negotiating construction contracts and ancillary documentation.

Experience
- Advising a global hospitality sector investment company which specialises in luxury and full service and lifestyle hotels in the purchase and refurbishment of a hotel site in London on which building works to the shell and core build were carried out before the Employer and the Contractor on site carrying out said works became insolvent. There are drafting peculiarities around which parties will take responsibility for the shell and core works given the Contractor’s insolvency.
- Advising a student accommodation client on its initial acquisition of a student accommodation asset in Dundee, including a full purchase due diligence exercise and drafting and negotiating a full suite of construction documentation in relation to the client’s enhanced refurbishment to modernise the asset.
- Advising a national retailer in relation to the construction aspects of the purchase and development of various retail and depot sites throughout the UK.
- Advising the UK’s leading investor in healthcare properties in the purchase and re-development of various properties throughout the UK.
