Rebecca provides practical and strategic advice to employers, contractors, sub-contractors and consultants to help avoid – and resolve – a wide range of disputes.
Rebecca has a wealth of experience of engineering and construction disputes, including professional negligence claims, defects, loss and expense claims, delay, termination and interim and final account payment disputes.
Rebecca is familiar with all major forms of construction contracts, particularly JCT, NEC and FIDIC, in addition to bespoke agreements.
Rebecca has significant High Court litigation experience and also undertakes adjudication and arbitration work, as well as being adept in alternative dispute resolution procedures such as mediation and expert determination.

Experience
- Advising a client on a multi-million pound defects dispute against multiple defendants under a bespoke design contract and a FIDIC 2017 Red Book contract.
- Acting as the lead associate on a JCT CIMAR arbitration on behalf of a large national social housing provider against a leading UK construction and infrastructure company for a £15m claim relating to external wall defects.
- Defending a client in relation to a c.£9m claim for alleged defects at a luxury apartment block and achieving settlement of the claim.
- Advising a real estate developer in relation to external wall cladding issues with remediation costs in excess of £12m.
