Tod joined TLT in 2025 from Cardiff based firm Capital Law, where he worked as a litigator in their Dispute Resolution team, working in litigation across a wide range of sectors before specialising in public law and regulatory disputes. There, he advised the Gambling Commission, the British Medical Association, the Solicitors Regulation Authority, and the Welsh Government, mainly on judicial reviews and regulatory matters.
Tod regularly advises on data protection matters, such as freedom of information, data-subject access requests, and referrals to the Information Commissioner's Office. Tod has previously spent time on secondment with the Welsh Government and the Gambling Commission, working with their in-house legal teams.

Experience
- Part of the in-house team at the Gambling Commission during its successful defence of multiple procurement challenges following the decision to award the National Lottery Licence to a new operator.
- Representing a Silicon Valley company against a global event ticket seller following a class action arising from a significant data breach.
- Acting for the Gambling Commission in relation to a misuse of private information and breach of confidence claim.
- Bringing a judicial review on behalf of an energy infrastructure company in relation to an energy storage scheme.
- Acting for a medical defence indemnity company as an interested party in a judicial review brought by a competitor regarding a decision to create a state-backed indemnity scheme for the medical profession.
- Work for the British Medical Association includes its successful judicial review against a decision to amend pensions regulations, and separately its case for better working conditions for junior (now resident) doctors.
