TLT's Data Protection and Privacy team advises on all aspects of information law, including data protection, freedom of information, confidentiality and privacy.

The team has extensive experience advising clients in relation to ICO investigations and breach management, data protection compliance programmes including data protection mapping exercises, negotiation of data protection contractual provisions and providing ancillary data protection advice.

• Advising a FTSE 100 FMCG client on GDPR compliance across all their business divisions. We have also advised on a range of privacy issues relating to the procurement and rollout of a new global HR platform across 160 countries.
• Advising a global clearing bank on the novation and amendment of the bank's supply chain contracts to enable compliance with GDPR requirements. This was a major project involving over 3,000 contracts.
• Advising a major television broadcaster on various aspects of GDPR compliance, including employee/HR documentation, internal policies and procedures and customer-facing privacy notices. We have also been appointed to advise on ad-hoc data protection breaches.
• Advising a British retailer on updating its supply chain contracts to comply with GDPR requirements and in relation to other data protection and privacy matters.
• Advising a large UK supermarket chain on the Group in relation to GDPR compliance including data sharing issues, international data transfer issues and data protection and privacy issues arising out of providing WiFi in stores.
• Advising a group of iconic brands and businesses on its GDPR implementation project. Data is critical to this company, which includes lines of business such as vehicle and home insurance, with a range of supplementary products such as breakdown cover, legal protection and personal accident cover.
