Managing Associate

Lawrence advises public and private sector customers, contractors and consultants on a variety of construction, infrastructure and defence projects.
Lawrence’s experience includes drafting and negotiating documents based on standard forms including NEC, JCT and MF/1 as well as bespoke contracts, appointments, collateral warranties and a variety of construction and performance security documentation.
Lawrence works closely with client teams providing focussed and practical advice on key issues including change management, incentivisation and performance risk. He has experience of the complexities of defence sector contracting including the Single Source Contract Regulations, DEFCONs and MOD Policy.
Lawrence has been noted for his focus on contractual matters in the Legal 500 UK.

Experience
- Acting for a global defence contractor in the negotiation of a bespoke services contract for a strategically significant defence project.
- Assisting a major defence contractor with the preparation and negotiation of supply chain framework contracts and call-offs based on NEC4 forms in relation to a large-scale defence project.
- Preparing bespoke amendments to the MF/1 and a variety of NEC 4 contract forms including the ECC, PSC and PSSC in relation to the replacement of security infrastructure at a UK airport.
- Advising a FTSE 250 company on a design and build contract based on the JCT DB 2016 with a bespoke schedule of amendments for the refurbishment and fit out of a central London office space.
