TLT advises re:production on Dentsu acquisition
The deal enables re:production's managing partners, Steve Hunneysett and Phil Greenwood, to continue their growth and expansion of the business across the North.
The production company works across the UK producing TV commercials, animation, idents, corporate video, digital content and radio for household brands including Dreams, Flymo, Lookers and Sage.
Dentsu Aegis Network is a global media, digital and creative communications company operating in 145 countries and employing over 4,000 people in the UK.
TLT advised re:production on all aspects of the sale. The team was led by corporate partner Ian Roberts, supported by associate Kelly Clarke and solicitor Seraphina Wilkins (corporate); associate David Birchett (employment); legal director Mark Braude and solicitor Andree Parker (tax); and associate Ben Jackson (real estate).
Steve Hunneysett, managing partner and producer at re:production, says: “Over the last decade we’ve worked hard to establish the business as one of the largest and most successful commercial producers in the North of England. Joining Dentsu Aegis Network now opens up a whole host of new opportunities by allowing us to tap into the complementary services that if offers. This will help consolidate our position as a market leader in the production of TV commercials and social media content for the retail sector, and provide further opportunities to grow.
“TLT has a leading reputation for advising on acquisitions in the marketing and creative media sector and their knowledge and experience was invaluable in meeting our goals."
Ian Roberts, partner at TLT said: "We are delighted to have acted for the shareholders of re:production on this strategic growth move for the business. There is a growing trend of larger corporates acquiring fast growing digital agencies – particularly in the North. This is supporting a drive towards offering a full-service proposition combining both agency and production services, and delivering more efficient and effective service for their clients across the world."
Earlier this year, TLT advised the shareholders of BJL, a North West-based creative agency, on its acquisition by Dentsu Aegis Network.
