TLT nominated for three awards at the British Legal Awards
The British Legal Awards, hosted by Law.com International, are the premier legal awards in the region, representing the best talent in the UK’s legal community.
TLT’s competition team has been nominated for Competition Team of the Year at the British Legal Awards for its work in successfully appealing an £18 million anti-trust fine in the Competition Appeal Tribunal following a Competition and Markets Authority investigation that began in 2017. This latest recognition follows a streak of nominations, which have seen TLT’s competition team shortlisted in the same category at the Legal Business Awards, The Lawyer Awards and the FT Innovative Lawyer Awards.
Following the external validation of TLT’s net-zero targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), among other achievements, TLT is one of the finalists for the Excellence in ESG award. At the time of SBTi validation, the firm was one of only three early adopters of the new sustainability gold standard in the legal sector and is on a journey to reach net-zero by 2040 – a journey which is led by reducing emissions across the entire value chain, as opposed to simply offsetting them.
TLT’s FutureLaw team has also been nominated for Strategic Legal Operations Team of the Year. Building on existing success improving matter management, the team is now focused on rolling out a successful programme of legal process and operational optimisation and improvements for teams, workstreams, and specific matters across the firm.
Winners will be announced on Wednesday 29 November 2023, at an event at the HAC, London.
