TLT secures hat-trick of nominations at the Legal Business Awards 2023
The nominations recognise the firm’s exceptional performance in 2022 both in specific sector matters and in its outstanding firmwide growth.
TLT’s nomination for Law Firm of the Year follows the firm’s exceptional performance in 2022 which saw record financial success, over 500 new colleagues join the firm and a host of new people-first policies being launched throughout the year.
TLT’s future energy team has also been shortlisted for the Energy / Infrastructure Team of the Year Award. The team, led by partner and head of real estate and future energy Maria Connolly and corporate partner Kay Hobbs, was nominated for its outstanding work advising Cero Generation’s joint venture with Enso Energy - Enso Green Holdings Limited (EGHL) - on the sale of a 750MW (380MW of solar and 340MW of battery storage) ready-to-build co-located solar and battery project portfolio to DIF Capital Partners, understood to be the largest disposal of a ready to build co-located portfolio in the UK.
Following the firm’s work for Compare the Market (CTM) in 2022, TLT has also been shortlisted for the Competition Team of the Year award. TLT’s competition team, led by partner Miles Trower, with support from Richard Collie, Charlotte Mapston, Molly Efford and Angela Budd, supported the UK’s leading price comparison website, CTM in overturning a £17.9 million fine imposed by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). The successful appeal brought before the UK’s Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) also neutralised a significant follow-on damages claim.
Winners will be announced at an event taking place on Tuesday 19 September 2023 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.
