TLT supports K3 Capital Group plc in acquisition of marketing agency
Based in Bolton and established in 1998, K3 Capital is a multi-disciplinary professional services firm providing advisory services to SMEs. Professional Insight Marketing, which trades as JE Consulting, is a professional services marketing agency based in Sutton Coldfield.
The purchase of the agency complements K3 Capital’s growth strategy and will allow the firm to expand the services of the K3 Hub, a centre for accountants to access specialist advice, services and CPD training.
TLT advised K3 Capital on all aspects of the acquisition with a team led by corporate partner Ian Roberts who drew on expertise from across TLT including tax and incentives, real estate, employment, intellectual property, commercial and pensions. The team was made up of Seraphina Wilkins (corporate) and Mudassar Iqbal (corporate), and was supported by William Ngan and Olivia Curtis (tax and incentives), Mike Legge (employment), Joe Meredith (real estate), Graeme Orchison (intellectual property), Jas Sanghera (commercial) and Tom Green (pensions).
This agreement joins a growing portfolio of successful deals completed by TLT for K3 Capital. In summer 2021, TLT acted for the firm on the acquisition of Knight Corporate Finance Group and Knight R&D. In summer 2020, the law firm acted for the company on the £42m acquisition of restructuring and advisory company Quantuma, and a successful £30.45m fundraising round which enabled the purchase of both Quantuma and randd UK – a company specialising in securing R&D tax credits.
Corporate partner Ian Roberts from TLT said: “This is an important deal for the sector and one that is reflective of developments we’re seeing in professional services. The purchase will allow K3 Capital to further implement its growth strategy and establish itself as a leader in the professional services sector. It’s been a pleasure to work with K3 Capital and to have supported the company during this time of expansion.”
Corporate development director, Dan Longden at K3 Capital commented: “JE Consulting will be an instrumental addition to our group and the development of the K3 Hub allowing professional service firms, such as accountants and lawyers, to now receive marketing support from K3 along with the other benefits of the K3 Hub.
“We’re very grateful to the whole team at TLT for their professional advice and expertise on the purchase, which joins a number of other successes we’ve worked on together in recent years. Their efforts in achieving this successful outcome are hugely appreciated”.
