EV charging
The road ahead with NatWest, Punch Pubs, Hitachi, PodPoint and Paua Tech
We hosted a live webinar with Cornwall Insight in which an expert panel from NatWest, Punch Pubs, Hitachi, PodPoint, and Paua Tech looked at how the outcomes of COP26 could impact the deployment of EV charging and pave the road ahead.
The transition to vehicle electrification and the roll-out of associated charging infrastructure has accelerated but the market is still developing. While no-one is expecting COP26 to remove all the challenges and provide all the answers, the increased focus on net zero and the coming together of the industry could fast-track the solutions - but what does this mean for EV charging?
In this session our panel considered whether post COP26 market and policy conditions will enable the up-scale in EV charging infrastructure needed or if further indicators are needed; if the UK’s role as a green finance hub will help overcome some of the funding challenges; and how to develop the business models which will support deployment.
