TLT grows housing and regeneration team with appointment of legal director
Joining from Pinsent Masons, Louise brings over 30 years’ experience advising on all aspects of residential and commercial developments, dealing with a wide range of property transactions including advising on all types of acquisitions and disposals as well as managing property development / regeneration advising landowners and developers, with a particular focus on large scale housing / residential schemes.
Boasting significant experience advising government housing schemes, including working closely with Homes England, Louise will play a key part in strengthening TLT’s housing and regeneration team by further broadening the level of service offered to clients in this practice area.
Louise first qualified as a chartered legal executive at Dentons where she worked for over two decades before working at Freeths and then taking a role at Pinsent Masons as senior associate before being promoted to legal director.
David Meecham, head of housing and regeneration at TLT commented: “Louise is a very talented chartered legal executive who has built a solid reputation as a respected housing and regeneration specialist. Her experience working with high-profile government organisations such as Homes England will be hugely beneficial to our practice. In addition, Louise’s background as a qualified chartered legal executive will help diversify our team and refresh our ways of thinking, boosting our innovative approach to problem-solving for clients. We’re delighted to welcome Louise.”
Louise Wager, legal director (chartered legal executive) at TLT said: “I’m delighted to be joining TLT as the first legal director in the housing and regeneration team and look forward to supporting the growth of this practice area. As someone who didn’t take the traditional route to becoming a lawyer, I’m extremely passionate about opening the legal sector to different backgrounds and I look forward to supporting TLT in advancing its ambitions to offer different routes to qualifying as a solicitor.”
