Local government

Our established local government team has a wealth of experience advising on the vast array of government needs.
We are particularly known for our real estate practice, advising on disposals, asset management, and regeneration and development projects. Our specialists also support on planning, environmental and construction.
We advise on all aspects of commercial law and are particularly adept at advising local government on public procurement, state aid, outsourcing, trading, contract performance and disputes plus shared service projects and other collaborations. We also regularly advise in respect of corporate governance and structures.
Testament to our local government expertise, we are appointed to the Crown Commercial Service Wider Public Sector panel across all three UK jurisdictions.
Introducing co-sourcing
With reduced budgets continuing to impact the sector, organisations are looking at innovative ways to solve their resourcing issues.
To help address this challenge, we've developed co-sourcing; a practical solution to help with resourcing needs. This is a collaborative arrangement where our team of experts act as an extension of in-house teams.
Our co-sourcing solution mitigates the concerns often expressed when externalising work, as control of the project, resource level, procedures, knowledge retention, quality and costs is retained by the client.
