Highways & Public Rights of Way

We help developers manage the impact of their development on highways and public rights of way.
As this is an area that can affect everyone, from the developer to those wishing to walk in the countryside, it needs careful management from the start.
We act for large scale developers, housing associations and other organisations. We also act for individuals, providing advice on how public rights of way might affect their properties.
We undertake agreements to provide adopted highways, and we are experienced in dealing with stopping up and diversion orders. Our specialist team can prepare evidence and appear at inquiries into highway orders.
We provide a whole service to developers, to ensure that highways are adopted in new developments where appropriate. We also support landowners on public rights of way claims that might affect their property.
