Managing Associate

Krista is a managing associate in the Real Estate Group.
She qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and joined TLT in June 2023.
Krista specialises in the property aspects of renewable energy transactions representing developers, landowners and investors across a range of industries including solar, wind, battery storage, EV charging and hydro-electric projects. She provides strategic advice on the structuring of transactions, due diligence, funding issues and the drafting and negotiation of options and leases as well as more bespoke documentation.
Previously, Krista worked on commercial property transactions advising high net worth clients, banks, developers and investors on a wide range of projects and refinancing deals.

Experience
- Drafting and negotiating EV charge point leases for an EV charge point developer across multiple sites varying from institutional landlords and charities to public houses.
- Acting for the landowners involved in a proposed 500MW battery storage project, including negotiation of the option agreement and lease.
- Acting for a solar developer entering the UK market to assist them with preparing template option and lease documents, negotiation of heads of terms, progressing both self-developed sites as well as RTB sites purchased by way of share sale.
- Acting for the developer and investor of a rooftop solar development comprising hundreds of installations on social housing, where tenants are exercising their right to buy.
- Negotiation of substation leases, surrenders and deeds of grant on behalf of the statutory undertaker.
