TLT re-nominated for South West Corporate Law Firm of the Year
In the past year, TLT's corporate team has continued to grow across the UK and the Bristol team continues to be recognised as one of the largest and most experienced and forward-thinking firms in the region, known for its technical excellence, commerciality and pragmatism.
TLT has worked on some of the highest value and most complex and regionally significant deals of the past year, involving some of the largest companies in their field across a number of sectors and acting on both the sell and buyer/investment side.
Four of the firm's deals have also been nominated for Deal of the Year and Small Deal of the Year:
• Cross-border acquisition of Lorient Group by global security solutions provider ASSA ABLOY – Deal of the Year
• £6.3m private equity investment in Molson Construction Equipment from BGF – Deal of the Year
• Overseas acquisition of Mobile Windscreens by Ryds Bilglas AB, a leader in Scandinavia – Small Deal of the Year
• £3.6m private equity investment in Dymag by Puma Investments – Small Deal of the Year
John Wood, head of corporate at TLT, says: "This is a really proud moment for the team. It was great to win the category and to bring home three awards last year, and we are incredibly pleased to see that our continued hard work and growth has been recognised once again by the judges.
"The South West is a hive of activity and home to some outstanding businesses that are defying economic uncertainty and working hard to successfully build and grow their companies. We are still seeing a lot of interest from overseas and global businesses in South West companies, particularly in resilient sectors like digital, manufacturing and industrial services.
"Congratulations to all of our clients and partners who are recognised in this year's nominations and good luck to everyone on the night."
TLT won Corporate Law Firm of the Year, Young Dealmaker of the Year (James Webb, associate) and Deal of the Year (under £15m) (the sale of Stirling Dynamics to Assystem Technologies) at the 2018 South West Dealmakers Awards.
The awards are run by South West Business Insider and the winners will be announced on June 27 at the Bristol Marriott City Centre Hotel.
