Managing Associate
Mary-Jane is a senior associate in TLT’s Real Estate team in Belfast, specialising in property development (mainly in the private housing sector), commercial investment acquisitions, real estate finance, and loan transfer portfolios.
Mary-Jane is particularly active in the housing development market, acting for a number of key developers in the local market on site acquisitions and the disposal of their new build residential dwellings across NI, leading the TLT new build housing sales team. She also acts for a number of commercial investor clients on acquisition and asset management work, and advises national retail clients on their NI portfolios.
Mary-Jane also has extensive experience acting for lenders in the real estate aspects of loan portfolio transfers, acting for both sellers and purchasers of loan books.

Experience
- advising residential developers on acquisitions and disposals across their private new build residential portfolios and social housing developments;
- acting for investor clients in the acquisition of a number of out of town retail parks;
- advising a number of national retail clients on their NI portfolios, to include negotiating and agreeing leases, renewals, variations, licences and agreements for lease, as well as providing specialist advice on the business tenancy issues and security of tenure provisions of NI landlord & tenant law;
- acting for lenders in the real estate aspects of loan portfolio transfers, leading on the NI aspects of a number of UK wide loan book sales.
