Tom is a specialist employment lawyer with considerable experience in employment tribunal litigation.
He acts for a number clients within the public and private sector with a particular focus on the financial services sector.
In addition to his strong contentious practice, Tom regularly advises employers on day-to-day employment queries including disciplinaries, grievances, whistleblowing and exits. Tom also regularly advises clients on the employment law implications that arise within corporate transactions.
Tom is an experienced litigator and is known for taking a pragmatic approach to achieving his clients’ objectives. He also regularly regularly delivers training and seminars to clients on various aspects of employment law.
Tom is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Experience
- Managing complex discrimination claims in the Employment Tribunal for clients in the public and private sector.
- Regularly advising clients in regard to HR employment issues including absence and performance management, discipline and grievance issues and other HR-related matters.
- Managing a settlement agreement project which involved the preparation, negotiation and execution of a significant number of settlement agreements in a short period of time.
- Delivering bespoke training and workshops for clients on employment law issues including the employment rights bill.
- Undertaking a secondment at a major retail bank.
