TLT advises AgriBriefing on sale of Farmers Guardian and LAMMA Trade Show to Arc
Included in the transaction are media titles Farmers Guardian, Dairy Farmer and Arable Farming, along with all related digital platforms as well as key industry event brands such as LAMMA, CropTec and the British Farming Awards.
The TLT team advising on the deal was led by corporate partner Alice Gardner, supported by Luke Thorngate-Davies, Jessie Cockhill and Olivia Curtis (corporate); Daniel Lloyd and Sarah Wall (technology and IP); Mark Braude (tax); Oliver Swain and Sam Hill (banking); Ed Pitt (real estate) and Ed Cotton (employment).
Rory Brown, CEO of AgriBriefing, says:
“We are enormously proud of Farmers Guardian and LAMMA which we have spent a decade building into well-established, powerhouse brands in the industry. However, our strategic positioning has evolved to focus more on global pricing, analytics, forecasting, market data and consulting units, and so it’s time to pass on the baton.
“We believe Arc is the right fit to continue and build upon our legacy and we’re incredibly grateful for TLT’s support in making this happen. The team’s expertise and multidisciplinary approach enabled a smooth and efficient transition which has allowed us to focus on our next phase of business growth.”
Alice Gardner, corporate partner at TLT, adds:
“This sale was a natural progression for AgriBriefing as it embarks on its next chapter and looks to further align with its strategic business development goals. AgriBriefing is passing on an array of strong multiplatform brands with high sector appeal that will be a significant asset to Arc.
“This deal takes place in an incredibly exciting period of increased activity in the M&A market, where sellers and investors alike are making up for lost time to seize on new opportunities. It’s great to be a part of such a pivotal milestone for AgriBriefing - the business has a bright future ahead and we look forward to seeing what comes next.”
