TLT completes Scotland acquisition for Molson Group
In June last year, TLT advised Molson on its acquisition of Finlay Plant (UK) and its subsidiary and associated companies.
The new deal means that Molson now has the distribution rights for Terex Finlay mobile crushing, screening and conveying equipment across Great Britain.
TLT supported Molson with the full transaction process, from due diligence and contract negotiation to completion, bringing in-depth knowledge of Molson's business and also the wider UK industrials industry as well as advising on Scots Law.
The team was led by John Wood, partner and head of corporate, alongside chartered legal executive Nick Rains (corporate); partner Richard Turnbull and associate Pamela Sealey (Scotland real estate); solicitor Andree Parker (pensions and incentives) and Fraser Vandal (employment).
Jason Powles, financial director at Molson, says: "TLT has been able to support us across the UK with specialist knowledge and understanding of our business and the market. They've been able to bring in the right specialists to support our needs as our business expands, and we've been really pleased with the service they provide. This deal is a major milestone for us and we look forward to welcoming the experienced and committed Finlay team into Molson Group."
John Wood, partner and head of corporate at TLT, says: "Despite a lot of uncertainty in the wider economy, we are seeing a lot of interest and activity in resilient sectors like manufacturing and industrials. Molson is a very well-established business that continues to grow successfully and we are pleased to be supporting them with their expansion plans across the UK."
