Leading a transaction advising a major regional leisure operator in relation to the sale of prime, city centre land with local and historical significance for re-development by way of a sale agreement conditional on forward funding and planning. Advice included strategy for the termination of complex existing and historic rights and ensuring that the conditional sale contract would be acceptable to an incoming funder.
Acting for a local authority in the negotiation of a ten-year development agreement for large-scale regeneration of sites in south London.
Advising a UK clearing bank in relation to a £105 million loan for the development of a student accommodation block in London including advising on an op/co prop/co structure, a nominations agreement and highways and drainage agreements. This was the first 50% affordable student accommodation scheme in London in keeping with the London Plan 2021 and involved the UK’s largest forward-funding deal for the PBSA sector.
Acting for a local authority and advising on development constraints in relation to four sites (circa 300 titles) and land assembly strategy.
Advising a local authority in relation to a 150ha site delivering circa 2,000 homes with enabling infrastructure. This involved a title review, reporting and advising on land option agreements and the negotiation of the release and re-grant of easements.
