TLT nominated Best Legal Team for Early Stage Deals
This award recognises the legal firm that has made a significant impact during the past year, both through actively supporting angel and early stage investment deals and by bringing real added value to the investment process.
TLT's UK-wide corporate team is actively involved in the UK's start-up, investment and fast growth scenes, advising businesses and investors on some of the UK's most significant transactions and supporting the growth ambitions of leading businesses in their field.
TLT is also heavily involved in some of the UK's most successful and pioneering business growth initiatives, including Tech Nation's Rising Stars programme and the Barclays Eagle Labs LawTech incubator based in London.
TLT's corporate team is based across its UK-wide offices including in Belfast, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Manchester.
Jon Gill, partner at TLT, says: "It's a real honour to be shortlisted for this award. Our already strong corporate team has grown considerably over the last year, attracting some of the best corporate lawyers in the regions and further strengthening our capabilities across the UK.
"It's also a really exciting time to be working in the UK's start-up and scale-up scenes and supporting UK and inward investment into these businesses. There are some great innovators running successful businesses that are ripe for investment and looking to grow, with an increasingly mature, active and diverse finance ecosystem to support them.
"We are delighted to be working with so many leading growth businesses and their investors, and this nomination is a testament to their activity over the last year."
The winners will be announced at Illuminate at the Science Museum in London on 2 July. The event will celebrate the fastest growing brands and acknowledge the founders, angels, crowd funders and early-stage venture capital investors behind them.
TLT is also shortlisted for Corporate Law Firm of the Year at the South West Dealmakers Awards 2019, with the winners due to be announced on 27 June.
